Kim specializes in working with teens, young adults, and their families as they work through concerns like trauma, depression, and anxiety. She focuses on client-led therapy interventions that break down the barriers talk-therapy often poses for youth and adults—including engagement, trust, and buy-in to the therapeutic process. She blends conversation-based work with equine-assisted sessions, and is trained in EMDR with and without horses, a specific trauma therapy that helps individuals work through different types of trauma.
EAP invites engagement, is experiential, decreases defensiveness, and lowers the pressures that can make going to therapy feel difficult or daunting—especially for teens and young adults who haven't connected with traditional office-only therapy.
